Modupe KadriMember, Board of Advisers
Mr. Modupe Kadri is an alumnus of the University of Lagos from where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science Honours degree in Economics and a Master of Science degree in Management. He started his professional career with the firm PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC, then Coopers and Lybrand) where he trained and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in a period spanning 11 years. He is a Fellow of both the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and Institute of Chartered Accounts of Nigeria (ICAN). He has also attended various leadership programmes at the Columbia Business School, INSEAD and IMD Business School in which he is an alumnus of all three.
As a Manager with PwC, he was in charge of the audit of many Blue chip Multinational companies in Manufacturing, Telecommunications, Aviation, Banking and Financial Services. He also carried out some consultancy work with some United Nations (UN) agencies and some World Bank funded projects in Nigeria.
Upon leaving PwC he travelled to the UK to pursue his career and later returned to Nigeria four years later to join Lafarge Africa Plc (then West African Portland Cement Plc) in various capacities firstly as their Internal Audit Manager, Financial Controller and Business Development Manager. He joined the MTN Group in 2007 as the General Manager in charge of Financial Operations with MTN Nigeria Communications Limited.
Currently he is the Chief Financial Officer and an Executive Director with Scancom Plc (MTN Ghana) since August 2014. His efforts and contribution to the Ghanaian economy have been recognized with him twice being named the CFO of the year in the Telecoms industry in 2015 and 2016.
Elsewhere he is also the Chairman of Hajj Mabrur Ventures Limited and a Non-Executive Director of AlBarakah Micro Finance Bank Limited amongst other directorships he holds.
