She is a Financial Economist and Islamic Finance Analyst with PhD (Economics) from University Putra Malaysia, M.Sc. (Finance) from International Islamic University, Malaysia and HND in Banking and Finance (Federal Polytechnic, Ede). She is a Fellow Chartered Institutes of Economics (Ghana and Nigeria); Associate, Chartered Institutes of Cost and Management Accountant (CICMA); Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences, National Open University of Nigeria; Senior Lecturer and Head of the Department of Economics.
She’s a member of many professional bodies such as Nigerian Economic Society (NES); African Council for Distance Education (ACDE); Islamic Economics and Finance Research Network (IEFRN); West Africa Islamic Economics Forum (WAIF) Nigeria Islamic Finance Forum (NIFF); African Women Entrepreneur Forum (AWEF); International Association for Feminist Economists (IAFFE); Teachers of Economics Forum; Senior Member, International Economics Development and Research Centre (IEDRC, Hong Kong). She has publications in national and international referred journals.
A Coordinator of NOUN Federal Government e-Learning Universities of Nigeria (Online degrees). Her research interest which has taken her to different continents includes: Term Structure Analysis; Liquidity and Profitability; Islamic Economics and Finance; Credit Crunch and Financial Crisis; Sustainable Development, Women and Home Survival Strategies, Corruption and Sustainable Economic development, income and happiness among others.
